A Beautiful Morning

On that beautiful morning, we sat face to face on the stone chairs. It was cold, but fresh air and nature sounds make us feel very peaceful and relax, enjoying the sunrise on that hill. Us? I don’t know about him, but am sure I felt peaceful. It was a very pleasing feeling, until when he said, “How’s your friends know that I have crush on you?”
“Haa? What?”
“Your friends.. Yesterday they seems like they know that I like you when they were teasing me. How’s they knew that I have crush on you?”
“You have crush on me?”
“Eerr.. yes, I have crush on you.. I like you…”

OMG OMG! What I need to do now? Why suddenly so silent? Oh now, he is looking directly into my eyes, what I need to reply? I wanna run, I wanna run!

With smile, he said, “You are red.”

Aarrghhhh!!! What I need to do now? What is this feeling? Happy?

*******

I am not easily going out with a guy, only with a guy. Unless I am so close and very trust that guy. But suddenly, I found myself meeting him for the first time, only two of us, after meeting only 3 times. First, during a speech workshop. Second, few months later while having karaoke with friends. And third, watching movie together with other friends too. Only few hours after the movie, I drove from my place at 4 in the morning, when I should just stay home, sleep and enjoying the silent alone; to meet him. He was waiting for me, with two ice creams; vanilla strawberry cone ice creams. Eerr.. How he knows I love to eat ice cream while talking under the stars?

He left his motorbike and joined me in my car. We went around and finally, we sat near the lake. Enjoying seeing a group of ducks, we started knowing each other more. He started asking more personal questions like my family, my interests. He is so direct to the point guy and I tried my best to play safe, just following the flow.

Then we heard Azan (call for prayer) from the mosque, I went for my Subuh prayer and he waited at my car in front of the mosque. Feeling like we need to talk some more, after the prayer,  I drove to the Balai Cerap, because I thought it is a good place to talk and I love to show him more places other than the lake. Fortunately, he liked the place. There, we had that conversation; when I was confirmed, that he has interest with me.

I have no other word to describe that morning except, it was a beautiful morning.
